Ears

Ears: Represent memory of ages 1-14, listening skill and inner wisdom. Ear shape, size and position reflect the foundation of character. Tradition links long ears with a solid foundation and wisdom.

What are the Ears in face reading?

The ears are read in face reading as the feature that describes a person's foundation, childhood and way of listening. In Mian Xiang they are one of the five main features and the start of the age map: the ears carry ages 1 to 14, divided between the two ears. The reader looks at the size, thickness and color of the ear, the fullness of the lobe and where the ear sits in relation to the eyebrows and eyes. Firm, well-colored ears with full lobes are linked with a solid foundation, vitality and abundance. Ears whose tops reach the line of the eyebrows are read as an early-developing mind. A common misconception is that large ears alone bring luck; the tradition reads size together with firmness, color and harmony with the face.
