What does the Bell figure tell you?
Occasionally the bell is read as a wake-up call, an alert to something that needs your attention, so nearby shapes help tell which.
A question to sit with: What news would you love to share, and what can you do to bring it closer?
By its place in the cup
In cup reading a shape changes meaning with its place. Near the handle it speaks about your own life; on the far side it speaks about what comes from outside. Time runs from the rim down to the bottom.
| Position in the cup | Meaning |
|---|---|
| Near the handleyou, home, close circle | A family announcement. |
| At the rimthe near future, within a few weeks | News worth listening for in the days ahead. |
| In the middlethe medium term, over weeks | A situation building towards an announcement. |
| At the bottomthe past and roots; in some readings the distant future | A big announcement linked with the past or the far future. |
| Opposite the handlestrangers, work, what comes from outside | News from beyond home: work, friends of friends or the wider world. |
