Overview Reading
The technique of evaluating all symbols in the cup as a whole. Rather than focusing on individual symbols, the overall picture, energy flow, and dominant themes are read.
Curtain Reading
The 'curtain' effect created by large ground areas in the cup. Shows that some information is not yet visible and there are secrets that will be revealed over time.
Drop Reading
Interpreting the drop marks on the saucer after the cup is turned. A teardrop can mean sorrow, raindrop abundance, a single drop a surprise news.
Double Cup Reading
Reading two people's cups simultaneously. Used to analyze relationship dynamics, shared future, and the energy flow between two people.
Coin Test
A practice of placing a metal coin on the saucer after the cup is turned. The coin meeting the cup indicates the wish is accepted; staying separate indicates more time is needed.
Left Side
The left half of the cup. Tells of past events, completed processes, and experiences left behind.
